Racisim is a political power movement. It was created to separate us to ensure the "us vs. them" mentality to corrupt systems

Seeing how the Sharpville Massacre made peaceful protests turn somewhat violent made me think about which protests I’ve learned about started out violent turned violent or were never violent at all, and most that were never violent were started or had many black members and I do think apart of why those group were more non-violent was because of the violence many black people faced day to day just because of their race so they knew violence alone didn’t solve problems because it didn’t make any of them change their minds it just made them stay strong enough to handle the attacks.

One thing that stood out to me was in the first reading about SNCC to learn that a group was created solely by youth activist students and allowed them to have a voice in the civil rights movement which is not usually mentioned in normal history lessons.
